Tell Your Story – California during the time of COVID-19

“The COVID-19 pandemic specifically affected me by putting me and my family in a quarantine where you can’t really get out of the house for your safety and others’, which is very tedious but I think COVID-19 is better for our community because when I see the sky there is less air pollution since people are not getting out. So I think that is better for the world.

“People don’t really like the online schooling because they don’t get to see their friends and it is very boring to stay inside when you don’t have anything else to do, but I really like it because I don’t like to think only about myself. I also have thought about the people who get bullied and I can just imagine how happy they are that they don’t have to see those people who make their life miserable. I also think about the people who don’t have food in the house and got food from school. I wish I could help them in some way.”

Sediqa, 14
