“My wife and I are mostly retired with the bulk of our daily activities taken up with charitable organizations. Since some of these involve physical contact with people (Food Bank, Tutoring) we find ourselves particularly frustrated that our age prevents us from doing the things we have always done for others—even giving blood is proscribed. I serve on different nonprofit boards and at least the world of Zoom has allowed us to meet and be creative with ways to keep the organizations going, but the lack of physical contact with employees and fellow board members is stressful and it is hard to know how much longer any of these organizations will survive. I also do performances at different venues and well, we know what has happened to those. Of course the reality for us is that we are incredibly lucky. We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, can walk through country lanes from our home, have a large yard and garden and are outside a great part of the day. We have no stress beyond worrying for our kids and grandkids and the future of the planet, but we have always had those concerns. We will see how we feel in another month.”
