Tell Your Story – California during the time of COVID-19

“I, as a mother of 3, went into panic mode, because I hadn’t even gone grocery shopping so my fridge was empty and my pockets were low, because naturally we live check to check. My daughters lost their jobs and my job ultimately did the same. We all became worried about finances and the future and how we would get over this pandemic. My son doesn’t like being out of school, but the fear of getting Covid is stronger so he’d rather stay home than to go to school and become infected.”

“We have had about 3 zoom birthday parties and it was weird but nice to see them on their birthdays. I don’t want to get used to zoom parties. We had 1 death that no one was able to attend. Some funeral homes are so scared and other people are saying they only had the option of cremation. The family can’t get closure, it’s really sad because you can’t be with the person and say your last goodbyes.”

“My dating life is null and void without being able to meet and greet; lol I miss my friends, I miss my job and my work family, I miss my school campus, and my colleagues. I actually enjoyed my life prior to it being on hold and I can’t wait to get back to it.”
