The California Historical Society has a longstanding commitment to educating people of all ages about California’s complex and diverse histories. In 2018, the California Historical Society partnered with the California History-Social Science Project to establish Teaching California, a free online portal of discovery to California’s California History-Social Science Framework.

Teaching California is designed to address existing needs and provide a sustainable model for future instructional material development: a free, online, and open curriculum program, aligned with the new Framework.

Class Visits

Docent-led exhibition tours for the K-12 classes, homeschool groups, or after-school programs are available. Please contact us two weeks prior to your desired tour date.
