CHServes is one of the ways in which we give back. This staff-led initiative aims to directly influence the social, civic, and environmental fabric of our community. We invite all of our members and guests to join us in supporting the causes we believe in. Throughout May 2014 we are supporting La Casa de las Madres, an organization that helps survivors of domestic violence transform their lives, and which seeks to prevent future violence by educating the community and by redefining public perceptions about domestic violence.
DOCENT/GALLERY GUIDE VOLUNTEERS
The California Historical Society is continually seeking volunteer docents to support current exhibitions. Help us share California stories with gallery visitors, adult tour groups, school children, and others.
The California Historical Society engages a wide audience and we depend upon the generous assistance of volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the educational programs and public events we offer to members, historians, neighbors, and the general public.
To learn more about volunteering for the California Historical Society, please contact Patty Pforte, Programs and Outreach Associate, firstname.lastname@example.org.
